Other Ministries ( Past and present ) and testimony:
Began singing at age 7 with Mom, Dad and Brothers in a family group
called “ Smilin Jack Long and the Gospel Singers”. In the early 1970’s
traveled with Mr. and Mrs. Tommy and Shirley Bray of The Messengers
Quartet, where I really got my first chance to sing a lot. Spent 20 of the
greatest years that a person could dream of singing with my brothers in our own group” The Long Brothers”. In 1996 became Minster of Music at Smyrna Baptist Church in Humboldt, TN and a few months later was blessed to begin singing and ministering with 3 of the most Godly men that I have ever known,” The Father’s Four”. I am without a doubt one of the most blessed men in the world, having grown up in a wonderful Christian family that loves God and family beyond measure. I gave my life to Jesus at age 12 and have never regretted one moment of that decision. I am so proud of my wife and children, and thankful that they are all children of God and support the ministry of singing and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with so many people throughout the past 33 years of my life. If it all ended today, I could truly say, “I has been a Wonderful Life!"
